Every opportunity you have to increase the visibility to your website is valuable. Social media networks are just new channels for your site to be seen and recognized. This is important because it simultaneously makes you easier to see and more accessible for new customers. This also makes you more familiar and recognizable for existing customers. A person on Facebook could hear about your company for the first time only after stumbling upon it in a news-feed. A customer might become better acquainted with your brand after seeing your presence on multiple networks giving you more credibility. But then, there are the unknowns. Like, how often should you post? What should you post about? And possibly the most important question, Should I let someone manage my Social if they don’t really know our dealership or our community. All great questions that need to be address before handing over your social media marketing keys.

We have learned that companies that engage on social media channels typically see higher loyalty from their customers. Your Company should take advantage of the tools social media gives you when it comes to connecting with their audience. A strategic and open social media plan could prove influential in encouraging consumers into being brand loyal. Commonly, Americans who follow brands in social media are more loyal to those brands that they follow. So if we have determined that Social Media is a powerful presence with tremendous upside, then why would a business put it in a vendors hands to do whatever they choose? Here’s a thought. Would you give access to your personal Facebook account to someone you don’t really know to post for you for the next month? I would assume most would not. Then don’t let just anyone post for you with content they choose because it is “cheap” and easy to budget in. Have a say in your social and your conversion will be much higher.
